Thursday July 9 - 7pm Saturday July 11 - 3:30pm ODC Theater, 351 Shotwell St, San Francisco, CA 94110
We have been lucky enough to be hand picked to share an evening with Tremolo's very own Louis Acquisto, Rarefied Bear, a part of the Eighth Summer Performance Festival this July at ODC Theater. Each of us will be presenting a new work created for this festival.
Project Tremolo will be premiering "Beneath It All" featuring some of our newest members, Stephen DiBiase, Bianca Mendoza and Katerina Wong as well as veteran Amanda Lacro. This piece is an intimate quartet in which the dancers explore their unique experiences in search of the minute sparks in our daily lives that we cling to and rely on to resurface when faced with internal mayhem, feeling wholly shattered.
Rarefied Bear has created a piece entitled “L’inconnue de la Seine” based on the true story of an anonymous girl who committed suicide, by drowning in the Seine, in the late 1800’s. The serene look of innocence and beauty of her corpse caused her death mask to become a popular fixture on many people’s homes despite her total anonymity. This piece, in the form of a story ballet, featuring, Katerina Wong, Nina Saraceno, Camryn Kelly, Erin McCormick and Suzy Myre, takes what little information we have on the girl herself and creates a backstory.
